Women's day thoughts- Are they provoking?

Article 24 of the Indian constitution has a special clause that states “Right to equality, including equality before law, prohibition of discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth, and equality of opportunity in matters of employment, abolition of untouchability and abolition of titles.”
The above clause of the Indian constitution clearly eliminates all the possibilities of discrimination to women and so, we cannot generalize that women are weak in India. "The reality is always not as lovely as reading the gorgeous lines written in the constitution and women are denied equality with men". I heard this statement from a popular feminist and today, on the beginning moments of 2012 women’s day, I would like to stand under this statement.

To argue my points, I would like to take the example of a tree and a creeper. The tree could be either orange or Apple and the creeper could be grape’s. To survive, a tree does not require the support or shadow of another plant. It has the capacity to stand alone and to grow well, it needs more sunlight, and water when compare it with a creeper. But, look at a creeper; it needs the support and shadow of a tree to grow well. It is true that, a creeper is not able to survive without depending trees; they need only lesser amount of sunlight and water to survive.

Now let’s have a look at the fruits of both these plants. Despite the fact that grapes are produced from a weaker creeper, they provide the same kind of taste and delicacy of an apple or an orange. Can you imagine a creeper fighting for freedom to stand alone and to have more sunlight and water? It is obvious that, creeper cannot stand alone and the presence of more water will decay its roots and exposure to sunlight will dry up the plant.

If we compare the physique of women with men, we can see that men are stronger and require more energy and lesser care like trees, whereas the physique of women are weaker as in the case of creepers. Their actual need is support, shadow, love and care to produce same kind of fruits produced by men. The ultimate aim of the creator from both these creations is the same, but the creator had designed just another type of life to women. Creepers make the earth beautiful when trees provide strength to earth’s surface. Similarly women add value and beauty to the world.

As both of them are different types of creations, they cannot argue for equality. Yes, they can argue for their requirements. Women can argue for love and care but not for freedom and independence as it is against the law of the nature. In my opinion all the laws written in the constitution must be read on the background of law of the nature. If we could do that, together we can build up a stronger and beautiful world. If women are the paintings drawn by God, men are the background of those paintings.

Yes, Eve is created from the rib of Adam. On this women’s day, I am feeling proud of being created from my man’s rib. I am so special because of his rib. I am beautiful because of him. I am intelligent because of him. I am stronger because of him. I am confident because of him. I am enthusiastic because of him. I am confident because of him. I am so special because of my man and thus, my mind is overwhelmed on the thought that, I am being created out of his rib.
